C-D. Young - Director
Charles-David “C-D.” Young is the current director of Student Leadership Clinics, LLC. In 2004, he completed his undergraduate studies at UNLV and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a focus in psychology.
C-D. is an accomplished musician and drum major. For the past 13 years, he has dedicated his passion and skill to instructing, performing, and counseling the drum major position. His experiences include a two years term as drum major for Silverado High School in Las Vegas, one year for the Las Vegas Honor Marching Band, and five years for University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
During the school year, C-D. dedicates his time to hosting leadership clinics, adjudicating drum major auditions, and instructing marching bands for high schools throughout the Clark County School District and the UNLV Star of Nevada Marching Band. Since 2004, C-D has served as a director and clinician for Leadership camps in Arizona, California, Texas, and Nevada. Recently, he has taken taken a position as an Associate Director, drill writer, and field director for the Bishop Gorman Varsity Band.
In the off season, C-D. serves as a adult supervisor for the Bishop Gorman Student Government and assists with faith based retreats.
He currently works as a martial arts instructor and a 3rd Degree Black Belt. He also competes in multiple martial arts tournaments throughout the year and hosts Women Empowerment/Self Defense and Child Self-Defense/Anti-Bullying seminars.
